I will premise this review by saying that this cruise was my third (first two on Carnival), and my wife's first. Since this was our delayed honeymoon following the birth of our son, I wanted it to be special. I booked it about 10 months in advance through our travel agent and we flew down to Ft Lauderdale from Atlanta on the 30th of November, which was the day of embarkation.

My first impression of the ship was that it was clean and orderly, but very dark as in low-light. There are curtains on the windows pretty much everywhere on the ship until you get to the top decks of the ship where the pool chairs are. For most people that may be desired and a staple of Celebrity's upscale ambiance, but for me it was restrictive as I like to see the ocean while I am sitting down at a random spot on the ship. Overall it made for a very dark and dreary 7 days.

Pros- The food, in our opinion, was amazing. We ate dinner in the main dining room 6 out of 7 nights. We had prime rib, veal cordon bleu, lamb shanks, grilled salmon, duck breast, and some other wonderful selections. The appetizers and desserts were also great. The buffet was also amazing (we ate breakfast there every morning) and typically ate lunch there as well. There is truly something there for everybody. The staff (bartenders and dining room) were all great. They would periodically get stresses or overwhelmed but they didn't seem to take it out on the guests.
