Having sailed on Celebrity's larger ships we were a little apprehensive about trying one of the slightly smaller ships but there were many positives with this ship compared to the larger ones; there seemed to be more sun loungers and as a result passengers were a lot more laid back during the day.The drinks service around the pool was also a lot better. We loved the speciality restaurant, the Normandy. The ship had a really nice relaxed feel, it could be that there were a lot of families on board. On the negative side we did miss the sunset bar and felt that Qsine had been stuck on the ship when it didn't really fit (food still good though). Captains club perks are poor for us -maybe they work for other people.
As per our other Celebrity cruises, the food was lovely, the staff attentive (although they have little time to converse as they are so busy). The entertainment has never been impressive but each year we go on a Celebrity cruise it seems to get worse.
The itinerary was really good, we loved Antigua but we did do something different on each island so it is hard to compare. The weather was brilliant and we had a fab time. New Years Eve was great, food absolutely delicious!
Nice stateroom, we normally have balcony but on this ship we opted for ocean view as it was such a big difference in price - we love the balcony but it wasn't worth the extra. It was a nice room, all fittings were fine - very similar to all the other Celebrity ships and it has been so long since we cruised with anyone else it is hard to make a comparison. Nice and quiet, we opt for aft so close to all the things we like.
