We stayed at the Hilton in downtown Miami the night before. OK location with a Publix just up the street for your pre-boarding needs. Only a $8 cab ride to the terminal.
We got to the terminal around 1145 and were on the ship within 45 minutes. As soon as you are on the sales start with the offer to buy special sail away drinks. we went up to the Lido deck, had a lite lunch, and enjoyed the rear pool area. By late afternoon we were ready for the sale away.
This was our 7th cruise (2nd with Carnival) so here are some good and bads
Nice large room with a great Room Stewart named Frank. If you get him you will be very lucky as he was one of the best we have ever had. The room had a large window, king bed, couch, table and lots of closet space.Nicely located close to the main restaurants and elevators.
