Academy Bus service from New England delivered us right to the ship! Sailed out of Bayonne on a beautiful afternoon in September 2014 and had weather "made to order" for this end of summer itinerary! Embarkation was smooth/quick and DH and I found our oceanview cabin ready and waiting, even with he extra mattress topper we requested -- on to deck 10 with our MardiGras beads to find other friends at the "sailaway" good drinks and a terrific young musical duo - so spectacular to go past the NYC skyline and under the Varrizano Narrows bridge.

Every day was beautiful and ports were just what we had expected/planned for, except for Cornerbrook - looked pretty depressed to us. ooks like they have substituted Boston for 2015. It would be hard to pick a fave - the rest offering unique and totally pleasurable days. The "Ollie's Trolley" tour into Acadia National Park was spectacular and not to be missed, and the Quebec excursion out to St. Anne de Beaupre was beautiful and inspiring with the afternoon sun shining on the newly cleaned basilica/copper roof. Found the MDR very busy at 6:00 but enjoyed it nonetheless, and marveled at how our waiter could greet us by name nightly - a skill they have mastered and a nice touch. Ate at Qsine once - a really fun experience with a very helpful waiter - a "must-do". Enjoyed a spa treatment on a port day -- a good value. Enjoyed the adults only T-pool daily. Took in almost every show which we always enjoy, followed by a nightcap at the Martini Bar -- not only did the waiter remember us, he started to prep our drinks as soon as he saw us coming! However, some things change......this was our seventh trip with Celebrity in the past seven years -- yes, we are Loyal -- but we were somewhat disappointed with a change in the "flavor" -- gone is the option for quiet classical music now and then. It has been replaced by loud piped in noise I cannot even call music! Did inquire with Ken who basically "blew me off" - "Modern Luxury" seems to really mean exclusively pop with little regard for the "classy" flavor of the past. While the staff, especially "guest relations", was always ready to meet our every need we did miss something of the previous style. That said, we loved the itinerary and service so much that we have booked again for 9/15 sailing!! Hoping for the weather we had last year -- we will enjoy the fine parts and "deal" with the rest of it.....

Loved the quiet hide-away and helpful staff just a bit away from the elevators.
