On 18 January we returned from our 44th cruise, this one on the Carnival Pride. The Spirit class ships are by far, my favorite class of ship (my wife likes the Dream class best). The dining room food was delicious. The pizza was outstanding and my favorite, while my wife loved the Guy’s burgers! Our cabin (yes, I call it a cabin, not a stateroom) steward, Joey, was fantastic. The Punchliner acts were very funny and we enjoyed them all. I don't know if it is fleet-wide, but we earned free drink cards in the casino after making our regular donations each night. We drank well over $100 of free drinks.

We had one problem that I went to the Guest Services Desk with. My wife uses a portable oxygen concentrator and after a long walk back to the ship, she needed to keep it on through the ship’s security. This was cause for a pat down to be done before allowing her to enter the ship. While the security officer was very professional at all times during the pat down, the security officer was a man. We remarked to Jorge, at the Guest Services Desk, that while we understand, and were happy to see the security pat down, there should have been a woman perform the search. Jorge said that there should have been a woman there and he did not know why there was not one. He took our cabin number but we never heard anything more (not that we needed to). We did, however, notice that a woman security officer was present for the remaining ports. Problem solved!

This was another great Carnival cruise because of the outstanding Carnival crew/team members working hard, so we did not have to!
