Just back from our wonderful trip on Quantum of the Seas. After reading so many bad reviews, I was so happy that almost everything went well. My wife and I went with two other couples, neither couple had been on a cruise prior. There were some minor issues but honestly, none that were bad at all. BUT, I have never heard so many people complain what a horrible time they were having. The more I cruise, the more complaining I hear onboard about how this is bad and how rude the crew is. My experience has been that if you treat the staff decently instead of acting like a jerk when something is amiss, the crew will do everything they can to help you out.

Flew in from Boston the morning of the cruise and once we were at the terminal we were on the ship in fifteen minutes. First bit of good news we got that was the wifi was going to be free for everyone for the duration of the cruise. My guess is that not all of the ship's internet issues have been resolved and Royal was trying to be proactive about it...whatever, nice gift. I was also pleased to see that our room E1 had a couch. I had seen on Cruise Critic that other E1 cabins only had a chair. The cabin itself was fine with plenty of storage. Our cabin steward Roney was the best. One of the couples were in the cabin next to us and I asked Roney to open the divider on the balcony. FYI, our cabin was on deck seven and the lifeboat roofs are almost level with the balcony floor.

I went on iFly and thought it was well run and alot of fun. I found that if you followed their instructions, it was very easy to do. I also did the boogie board on the florider and loved it as usual. We didn't want to stand in line so we skipped NorthStar.
