Arrived in Baltimore a day early to stay at hotel and park car. Good thing because it snowed that night and traffic was a mess in the morning. Check in at the terminal went very smooth, we walked directly on the ship because it docks early and we got there at around 10. Our room was not exactly what we anticipated, we should have had a large window but ended up with a room that had two small windows together. It was a minor inconvenience and did not bother my wife who is claustrophobic. We normally get a balcony but since this was an extra cruise we tried an outside room on deck 2. The room pictured on the web and by our travel agent is on deck 3, with a large single window. Guest services said that the ship was completely booked and could not arrange anything different for us. Two days into the cruise a free bottle of Champaign was delivered to our room compliments of Guest services. A very nice gesture. Our room was 2038 near the stairs, it was very quiet, and with a few mildly rough days at sea we felt no movement at all. Very smooth room. The ship is small and it does not very long to get from one end to the other. The food is above average and is what you would expect on a cruise ship. The service in the MDR is some of the best I have had while cruising. Also the service in the Windjammer was great, they serve and refresh your drinks at the table. Maria was the best server in the WJ.

Be sure to get on deck 3 if you want the large window be cause deck 2 have two smaller windows. Our room was set up to maximize the floor space and felt very roomy. The bath has some of the hottest water and best water pressure. Yes the shower curtain will stick to your back side but who cares. Our steward, Omar, was the absolute best. Since we didn't have a refrigerator he made sure was had lots of ice, even iced our wine for us. Yes the corkage fee is gone but I didn't take the wine to the MDR, I think they will charge you then. The rooms on the ship were very dry, woke up and drank two glasses of water a night. Several nights we ran the shower on full hot to steam up the room, it helped a lot. We brought several car air fresheners to ensure no bath room smells. We put one on the bath room door and never had any problems in the room.
