Firstly, to get some perspective on who is writing this since I always like to know myself, I traveled with my fiancé, I am 27 and he is 31 with no kids. This was my second cruise with Carnival; this is his 5th cruise with Carnival. My first cruise was on the Carnival Legend, which was a blast but this ship definitely exceeded my expectations and was way better than the first.

DINING: The dining options on this ship are excellent. If you’re a person like me who loves variety when it comes to dining then this is the ship for you. If you had a problem finding something you liked then you must be a person who is never pleased with anything.

First, let’s talk breakfast. I am not really a huge breakfast fan, (a mimosa is just fine) but if you are I mean they have your every need. Bacon, eggs, sausage, home fries, fresh fruit….the list goes on. The fresh fruit section could have been a little better only because I typically go for the strawberries/blueberries/pineapple and they had more of just your melon variety.

STATEROOM: We had no issues with our stateroom. Our room steward & assistant steward were excellent. Remembered us by name throughout the whole trip. As others have said, it doesn’t hurt to throw them a tip right at the beginning of the cruise, I’m sure they really appreciate it. We did have our gratuities included so we didn’t have to worry, but it’s nice to do a little extra for them. They do a great job of keeping it clean all week and I swear they always knew when we weren’t in there. Hardly ever was bothered and when we got back, it was always fresh sheets/towels/towel animals/chocolates and itineraries for the following day. The comforter was awesome and there is an extra one in the closet….literally felt like a cloud. We had a balcony on the Legend only because Carnival called us a month or two before cruising to see if we wanted to upgrade for $150. We of course did that, and the balcony is awesome. I wouldn’t even waste your time on an ocean view. For us it’s either a balcony or interior. We tried doing the same thing for this cruise -booking interior and then hoping they would call us to upgrade-they never did. When we tried to call it was the same price each time, $1000 extra for a balcony. We even asked at the time of check-in and the ship was completely sold out at that point. I would say if you have the extra money when you book, just go ahead and book balcony, you won’t be disappointed.
