We thought this cruise was great. We're a couple with no children, aged 54 and 48. Demographics were all over the the place. Given it was a Christmas Cruise - there were a lot of kids - apparently 800 - but we never saw them! All the kids clubs did the trick. The entertainment wasn't spectacular but it was good. The food was good - I only had one bad meal and it just may have been the choice that I made on that particular night. What really stands out is the staff. They were all very friendly, helpful and seemed to genuinely like their work. I've read a few reviews on this ship previous that weren't very good but I can't say I saw any of what others were speaking of. Our cabin (a balcony room) was very spacious - the closet space in particular was massive! More hangers than I needed - when does that happen? The amenities were nice as well - the products such as shampoo, etc. were excellent and believe me I travel with my own shampoo and conditioner all the time so when I tried what was in the shower I just used that for the whole trip because it was that good. Not sure what people expect when there are nearly 3000 guests on a ship. All in all, Princess did a good job with everything. My only complaint (besides it could have been sunnier) was that the ports of call were really far from anywhere - most were at least a 45 minute bus ride from the dock and some were at over 2 hours. But that's what you get with these large ships - it's not the cruise lines fault if the ports aren't building adequate facilities. I'd recommend this voyage - good itinerary, good ship and nice staff.
