We left the port of Los Angeles on Saturday December 27th and returned on Saturday January 3rd. We stopped at Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. We (my wife and I) were accompanied by our daughter and granddaughter in the next cabin (E406). The first shock was the charge for Wi-Fi... it cost $73 for 2 hours! We also made the mistake of opting for "any time dining." It wasn't any time...we stood in line at 6:30 PM for 30 minutes to get a beeper/pager that got us a table at 8 PM. We took an optional shore excursion in Puerto Vallarta in a bus with non-functioning seat reclines, window tinting that thoroughly distorted the view and an air-conditioning system so noisy that you couldn't understand the guide's narration. The 5.5 hour tour included about 2.5 hours of bumpy bus ride, a tile store where the staff didn't seem to care, a stop at an Opal store, a stop at a cathedral where a Mass was in progress and you just got to stand in the back for a while and then a very late lunch stop at a tequila ranch. The lunch was low grade tacos. The ship was magnificent with a great theater, three topside pools and terrific staff. The New Year's Eve party was done very well and everyone had a good time. Embarkation was very well organized. Disembarkation not so much.
The cabins were very nice with a large picture window, comfortable queen bed (twin beds in E406), lots of storage space, a safe for valuables, a refrigerator and a nice bathroom with a small shower. There was a desk and a chair and a second chair for TV viewing. There were a surprisingly large number of TV channels available.
