We are from the UK so decided to spend 4 days in Old San Juan in Puerto Rico prior to cruising. In our view, this was an excellent decision - we loved Old San Juan and whilst it is difficult to get into with a car, it is great to walk around plus we walked to the cruise terminal with our cases so avoided taxi costs. We stayed at Hotel La Terrazzo (currently no.1 on Tripadvisor) and we were not disappointed. It has a great roof top pool and bar and is very central to see the city.

On the day of embarkation, we had priority boarding and although we arrived around 11.30, we couldn't get on board until 12.30ish so don't bother turning up until at least this time. There are plenty of couriers at the port to take your suitcases to the ship to allow you to board with free hands. Check in and customs check was straight forward and very quick and it took us only 5 minutes to board the ship.

We had a junior suite on 9th deck with extended balcony - very nice, no concerns.

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Great cabin - extended balcony with 2 seats, a table and a sun lounger. The suite is plenty big enough with space for a king size bed, bedside cabinets, large dressing table and lots of drawer space, settee, mini bar and free safe and arm chair. Separate dressing area - 2 closets/shelves and nice clean bathroom with double sinks and shower/jacuzzi bath.
