Embarkation / Debarkation - Highly recommend Port of Charleston. Never had a better experience getting on and off the ship.

Food: The food was really sub-par. After the first two nights (which were good), the menu in the formal dining room left us feeling "meh" so we went upstairs to the buffet which was even more "meh". Breakfast buffet was much the same. I just really didn't enjoy the food options compared to the other Carnival cruise we went on and definitely compared to the two Royal Caribbean cruises. We found the buffets were closed too early and too often and the 24hr food offerings left a lot to be desired.

Service: The Stateroom service was great but that was about it. The service in the formal dining rooms was very poor compared to other cruises. At times we waited extended periods to be served in the evenings and the brunch service was just plain poor.

We booked a room for 3 adults. We got to the room and there was a king bed with a child sized cot. After much ado, we were brought a trundle bed which was less than adequate but better than the cot.
