This was our 23rd cruise 11th on RCCL over the Christmas holiday. Personally we thought the Oasis was a better ship. Check in went fast but we had to wait longer to board. We were told there were still passengers on board at 11:30 from the previous cruise. Service in dining room was great thanks to Kevin and Sun. The Windjammer was extremely crowded and chaotic. On certain days fights among the passengers broke out. Normally I would ask for Egg Beaters or Egg white omlettes in the Windjammer. To my surprise I was told I had to go to the main dining room or had to go to Wipe Out a small take order restaurant near the sport zone. Our stateroom attendant NEVER vacuumed the cabin. I don't think he even knew what one looked like. I never saw one in the rooms he serviced. The entertainment was excellent as usual with the exception of the ice show. It was not as good as the one on the Oasis. After 11:00 pm we could not find any ice tea on the ship which was annoying. Another surprise was that in the public area bathrooms, they did not supply any paper toilet seat covers. What ever happened to the chocolates they used to leave on the pillows at night ? Ate at Chops Grille, although the food was good you had to wait a very long time for the food. We were told there were about 1,600 children on the ship and I don't think anyone took advantage of the Ocean's Adventure program for them. The pool areas was extremely crowded with children and hardly any seats available except in the rear of the ship near the sports zone. During the Bingo games the kids were very disrupted. If you are a serious bingo player you know that could be quite annoying. BTW, I was one of 4 winners for a free cruise only to lose in a one ball drawing. Bummer !! Disembarking from the ship went fast if you carried your own luggage. My advice for the older crowd who really want a quite cruise, don't do it over the holidays when school is out.
