I have read the reviews here and it really feels as if I was on a different ship than some of the negative comments I have seen. My experience was highly positive and of my 13 cruises to date, half of which are with Celebrity who I rate highly, this cruise was excellent.

The ship is magnificent and the Piazza or central atrium is a masterpiece in design. It took me around 20 minutes from getting out of the taxi and onto the ship at Port Everglades terminal 2. I ate lunch in the superb Horizon Court where the variety and quality of the food is excellent. The layout and design of that buffet is very efficient and there is a a lot of choice as to the types of food on offer. The cabins were made available at 1pm on the dot as Princess said they would be and I was in a mini suite on deck 10. My cabin attendant introduced herself to me shortly after arrival and was the epitome of superb friendly service all week. Always smiling and happy and extremely good at her job.

That cabin was comfortable and the new beds were the among the best I have slept in at sea. No issue of the two joined beds separating in the middle as often happens. I chose anytime dining and found the wait staff in the dining room and the food itself to be of a consistently high standard. No real issues with having to wait although I learned that 730p after the first show ends the line gets longer for a while. The solution was to alter your dining times by 20-30 minutes and no longer a wait. I tend to have a latte and pastries for breakfast and the International Cafe and its staff were great for that every morning. I note Princess charges for specialty coffees are quite a bit lower than my other favorite cruise line which was a pleasant surprise. Likewise the 25USD charge for specialty restaurants is a good deal. I ate in Sabatinis and thoroughly enjoyed the Italian dinner but was unable to get a reservation in the Crown Grill steak house, having left it late to book. Alfredo s pizzeria in the Piazza was a good quality dining alternative with table service.
