We started by flying out of Phoenix. Plane had mechanical problem and had to return to Phoenix. Plane had to burn up all it's fuel before we could land, some 5 hours later back to Phoenix for a plane change.

In your cruise package you receive an emergency number to contact the ship company if you are having airline problems. There were at least 21 people on the flight going on the cruise. All of us called the Norwegian contact number. Norwegian knew in advance that 21 people would arrive approximately 1 hour before the ship departed at the airport which was 30 minutes away from the dock. They did nothing to help any of us arrive and be let on the ship. They closed their "hot-line" number before we reached Honolulu. We had no ability to find out what to do. 6 of the 21 passengers had prepaid transfers which allowed them on the ship, while the rest of us were to be left behind at the airport or the dock. The plane was met by a representative from the ground transfer agent. He said we were "screwed and the ship was leaving without us, because we did not purchase ground transportation with our bookings" Six people who had ground transfers were directed to a waiting bus and took them to the ship before sailing. They received their bags 1 1/2 days later.

The remaining 15 people got our own bags grabbed taxis and raced to the dock. The ship was still there, the gang plank had been lifted. Local security told us we were again screwed and we could not get on the ship. There were 15 people standing in front of him with bags from 6 taxis companies, all ready to board.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Room was ok. The outside deck had a lot of dirt and trash blowing around. Found receipts from prior travelers.
