We sailed from New Orleans on the Carnival Dream to Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was our second time on the Dream. We chose a room on the Riviera Deck this time. The room was a Deluxe Ocean View room which features a regular bath room with shower, sink and toilet plus an additional bath room which has a junior tub and a sink. It was very nice to have the ability for two people to take showers at the same time. In Jamaica we did a dolphin encounter which included sharks and sting rays. Very good excursion. On Grand Cayman we did the 4x4 Jeep tour with time on Tiki Beach. I snorkeled there, There were quite a few fish to see with 50' of the beach. In Cozumel we did the Atlantis submarine. Really good excursion. We saw grouper, barracuda, numerous fish and a sting ray. We dove to 110'. We liked sailing out of New Orleans, We got there 2 1/2 days early so that we could see some of New Orleans prior to the cruise. We did the touristy things, such as having beignets and strolling through the French Quarter.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View

Cabin 6L

This cabin has the benefit of a second bathroom, consisting of a sink and a junior tub/shower. Nice to have 2 showers. We enjoyed having the window to look out of, especially while navigating through the oil platforms as we went through the gulf near the Mississippi delta. There is a small amount of noise in the main bathroom due to there being a mixing valve located behind the shower/toilet area. We were curious as to the gurgling noise so we looked at the door next to ours and it was an access door for some type of valve. Not a nuisance, just commenting. There were four closets, which was very nice as there were three of us. We had a king size bed and a couch that doubled as a twin bed. No complaints at all with the room. As usual, our room steward was very good and met our requests quickly. The room was very convenient to the Encore Lounge, but was on the other end of the ship from our dining room. Very convenient to the elevators.
