To understand my (and travel mate's) perspective, we have sailed Disney, Carnival, and NCL and this was first time sailing on Celebrity. We have sailed from San Juan before too, on Carnival, so all ports except Antigua were repeat for us. We loved the Southern itinerary so much that we really wanted to do this again, the negative on that trip was the ship experience and not sure if it was just the ship, the ship and passengers, or the added experience of exchange of passengers at some ports (surprised us) that seemed to cause the sailing to never have a settling down feeling.

So guess I should get to this sailing on the Celebrity Summit. It was fabulous. Loved the ship, it had an understated elegence and was a very relaxing trip despite the many ports. The crew were great, always a smiling face and greeting asking you how your day was and eager to please.

Shows were not really our thing so only attended Sirens which was as expected for a show with ship entertainers singing and dancing. They were good but just my favorite way to spend an evening .. sorry to anyone I may offend by that.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2A

Cabin 2A

Great room. More than enough room for two adults. Quiet area, no noise from above.Had the Room Stewart remove the fridge contents so we could put our own water/pop/etc in the fridge. Requested an ice bucket which was filled twice daily.Bathroom great size, shower curtain never an issue as it did not blow in at all.View from balcony was unobstructed and neighbors so quiet it felt like we were along out there all the time.
