To understand my (and travel mate's) perspective, we have sailed Disney, Carnival, and NCL and this was first time sailing on Celebrity. We have sailed from San Juan before too, on Carnival, so all ports except Antigua were repeat for us. We loved the Southern itinerary so much that we really wanted to do this again, the negative on that trip was the ship experience and not sure if it was just the ship, the ship and passengers, or the added experience of exchange of passengers at some ports (surprised us) that seemed to cause the sailing to never have a settling down feeling.

So guess I should get to this sailing on the Celebrity Summit. It was fabulous. Loved the ship, it had an understated elegence and was a very relaxing trip despite the many ports. The crew were great, always a smiling face and greeting asking you how your day was and eager to please.

Shows were not really our thing so only attended Sirens which was as expected for a show with ship entertainers singing and dancing. They were good but just my favorite way to spend an evening .. sorry to anyone I may offend by that. Read more
