My husband and I have traveled on our own in Europe since 1976. Now that we are retired we usually combine travel on our own with Celebrity cruises. The last cruise was Celebrity Equinox Oct/Nov 2014 from Barcellona to Ft Lauderdale. We spent two weeks in Spain before the cruise. Madrid, Seville and Barcellona.

We had a wonderful time and found the people so helpful and proud of their country. They encouraged my Spanish and believe me my Spanish is very limited. The Equinox was top drawer with the best food we have had on Celebrity. The glass blowing shows are the best entertainment for me. My husband likes the ping pong, golf, and Bocci. I love the gym and spin classes. We were in port five times. Mallorca, Valencia, Malaga, Lanzarote and Tenerife. We got to see a lot of Spain and to top it off the weather was warm and sunny almost every day.
