First we have to say, that the statement in the brochure:
The cruise line was born of a vision to create a whole new category of ultra-luxury cruising does not in any way reflect the reality we experienced. This for the following reasons:
The ship is an old vessel, which just needs to be improved completely. Our stateroom was so noisy, that we complained several times to the crew and the responsible management personnel. The noise came out of the ceiling and was a constant rattle and squeaking, which prevented us from having a good night sleep. Sometimes, almost for a week, we did not sleep all night. When the wind was blowing, the doors to the balcony were so leaky, that a constant, loud whistle was heard all the time.
Cabin Review
the air conditioning was off and on; sometimes it was cold, sometimes warm, but rarely perfect; the noise in the cabin, especially at night, was terrible; one can hear everything from the neighbor cabin, or when a door is slammed in the hallway; no noise cancellation whatsoever; and all the noise from the ceiling and door;
