This was our first Holiday cruise, normally go in the Spring out of Miami. We were with a group of 20 family members ranging in age from 12 to 73. Ports of call were Grand Cayman, Falmouth, and Labadee. My husband and I didn`t do any excursions so can`t comment on those.

Dec. 26th - Traveled to Fort Lauderdale from Canada and spent 2 nights pre-cruise at the Sleep Inn and Suites near the airport, provide free shuttle for pickup (phone in Arrivals area). This is an older property, the suites were clean but basic, small outdoor pool and sitting area. Hot, self-serve complimentary breakfast til 10:00 a.m., no restaurant or lounge on site. Walgreen's next door, not much else in the immediate area except a Chinese restaurant across the street - one look was enough didn't eat there. Since we didn't have a vehicle we ordered in pizza the first night (1-1/2 hr wait for delivery). Fine for one night but don`t think I would stay longer without a car. Nothing much to do in the area daytime or for meals. Some of us took a cab to Sawgrass Mills Mall on the 27th, cost $48 plus tip each way (split 3 ways).

Dec. 28th - Arranged hotel shuttle to Port (think it was $10 pp), arrived at Port approx noon, Embarkation was quick and easy, first time out of Port Everglades and best embarkation yet. In our staterooms by 1:00 p.m.and most luggage outside doors. Our Muster station was on Deck 4 under lifeboats but some others in our group had their Muster station in lounges. Muster took about 20 minutes.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Superior Oceanview Stateroom on Deck 9, mid-ship. Balcony had two chairs, a lounger and a small table. Brother and his wife in next Stateroom so we had the divider unlocked. Our Cabin Steward Singh was polite and very efficient.
