My review sounds a little negative but but all in all it was a great cruise and we had an awesome time. There was a very important lesson learned thou. That lesson is to research your cabin on Cruise Critic before booking. We booked pretty late and took the one suite that was left. Well it was still available for a reason.

We have been on the Radiance before and really like the ship. If you book on deck 10 be sure and make sure that you are not Unser the pool deck. Make sure that any room on any deck is far far far from the Grand Atrium.

We sailed on Dec 23rd from Sydney to Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Check in was easy and efficient.

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

Cabin was absolutely terrible. There were several parties in the Grand Atrium that went on until 12:30 in the morning and there is no way that anyone is going to sleep in that suit before then. It is the second door from the atrium so the party is literally right out side of the door. On top of that it is located under the main pool (just a little inboard of the Ping pong table) deck so when they start dragging pool chairs around at 12:30 in the morning you hear every bit of it. The wash down hose is connected to a 1/4 turn ball valve located directly above the room that some one closes to fast an hammers the system causing a Big Bang sound in the room from about 12:30am to 3:30am.There were a couple plumbing problems. Once the toilet overflowed sewage into the bathroom. The thing that pissed me off most was that when I called suite maintenance (three times) I was told that every one was busy right now but that they would get to it when they had a chance. HELLO! There is sewage backing up into my room and you will "get to it when you have a chance"?We spent a boat load of money to have a nice suite on this cruise and felt kinda ripped off.
