7 night Cruise out of San Juan, heading south. We, a group of 6, boarded the Valor on Dec 28th. We had 2 inside cabins, Deck 9 & 10, and 1 balcony, deck 9. I’ve been on plenty of cruises, including: CCL, Princess, Oceania, Regency, Royal Caribbean, and Windstar.

We boarded with no problems, but there was a little bit of a wait. We got there at noon, and there are CCL people on the street helping you get organized and pointed in the right direction. The people boarding us were very friendly. Once you get signed in, go wait by the main entrance to the ship you will find a rum tasting booth. Also, the friendly girl who was in charge of the line/number calling would occasionally let a few extras thru and onto the ship, doing this “out-of-order”. She was having some fun while doing this monotonous job. It was a nice start to our cruise.

The ship was fantastic. No problems, It was clean, had plenty of deck chairs, happy cocktail waiters, great room staff, etc. I’d say maybe ½ of the guests were Puerto Rican, which I thought was great – they are a fun group of people.
