Overall, our third RCI New Year's cruise out of Baltimore was very good.

The Grandeur crew is very good. Our Main Dining Room Waiter, Jorge, and Assistant Waiter, Vladimir were excellent. Stateroom Attendant Oscar was excellent.

Better ventilation is needed in the casino. Even with non-smoking areas, there was no way to escape the smoke. It was also very bad just walking from one end of the Grandeur to the other through the casino.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin H

Ours was a standard mid-ship Oceanview cabin. Having been on both the Grandeur of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas, I knew what to expect. There was plenty of closet and drawer space. In the past, I have put our suitcases under the bed. Now having thicker suitcases, they did not fit. Oscar, our excellent cabin attendant, solved that storage problem. He pulled the sofa out from the wall, and put the suitcases there. The space lost was not even noticed. Bathrooms are typical standard cabin bathrooms . . . short on space to move around. Showers have curtains, which are notorious for clinging to you. Thanks to other Cruise Critic posters, I knew to take a few plastic clips to keep the edge attached. The curtain stayed off me, and water stayed in the shower. Water pressure was great, and there was never a shortage of hot water.
