Cabin: Concierge Class 3

Booked a veranda cabin #8165 concierge class. The veranda carpet was filthy as were the glass doors. The veranda table and 2 chairs had white paint splatter on them. (Pretty messy) Many broken bathroom floor tiles oozing water. Bathroom floor continuously wet. Concierge class was a joke and a waster of upgrade money. We had to ask for every amenity listed on the Celebrity website. There was no umbrella in the stateroom, the outlet at the vanity could not be used for the Hair Dryer. The plug had to be inserted upside down and the minute the dryer was picked up, the plug would fall out of the outlet. (That was the only outlet for the dryer). Never received a pillow menu. Had to ask for a tote. Concierge class boasts of an expanded room service menu. That's a joke! The regular room service breakfast menu is much better then the concierge menu. Many, many more choices. I enjoy breakfast on the veranda. That was a disaster! Every day was a different scenario. One day, no utensils or napkins. Another day, no cream for the coffee. Another day, getting someone else's breakfast, then waiting 45 minutes for mine to arrive. One day ordered French toast, received 2 orders. Breakfast was cold every day.

My husband and I have been on other Celebrity ships, and have not experienced any of these deficiencies.

We will not give up on Celebrity, but the Summit has been taken off our list. This was our 49th cruise, so you could say we are seasoned. Embarkation and Debarkation was swift and professional. Most of the crew were very good. The food was a let down. Not the usual Celebrity cuisine. We did go to one of the restaurants, called QSine. It was outstanding and uniquely different. Kudos on this.
