We had high hopes for the refurbished Voyager of the Seas, we really did, but our expectations were not even remotely met. What an enormous letdown this cruise was.
Embarkation was pleasant and the lines were quick. Our indoor cabin was not configured as requested and safe was broken. Set Sail pass would not open the door < 3 times during the 10 days and had to be re-issued each time.
Staff at Guest Services spoke extremely poor English- the worst communication we've ever had on a cruise- you would usually need to speak to numerous people to get even simple problems solved.
Cabin itself was fine- very quiet and with lots of storage space. Shower was in need of re-grouting. Room was configured to a double when we arrived, despite requesting a twin, and the safe wasn't working which required getting maintenance down to re-set it. Spoke with guests who had paid for the 'virtual view' rooms or who were located over the Royal Promenade, and they absolutely HATED their rooms. Keycard stopped working 3 times and we had to go to Guest Services each time for a new set sail pass. Cabin steward was friendly and efficient.
