Our recent South America trip (Valparaiso to Buenos Aries) had some of the best scenery and excursions we have experienced in our travels, so I wanted to get a review out there so that people who are planning their vacation can benefit from our recent experiences. Here are some some of the highlights:

Santiago. We loved our hotel, the Ismael, which is a small, boutique-style hotel located directly on a very scenic park. We lucked out with our meals as well, with great seafood at the mercado for lunch and a very nice dinner with excellent service at Aqui es Coco for dinner.

Puerto Montt: Extremely fun rafting trip, arranged through Celebrity. Expect to get bounced around and soaking wet. The trip was well organized and the guides were professional. Read more
