I've read a lot of reviews about this ship prior to our departure so I was prepared for some not-so-perfect adventures.
Firstly, the ship is beautiful. I mean drop dead awesomely beautiful. I have never been on any ship like it before. This is cruise 20 for us. State of the art stuff, wonderful finish details (I love walnut) and our state room (balcony) was very nice. The crew was fantastic, the captain, Captain Anderson, was a seasoned pro. With beauty like that, it made many of the bad experiences be forgotten for a while.
Despite doing all the online check in stuff, scanning the pictures, etc, etc, etc, we still had to line up because for some reason we didn't have two set sail passes (make sure you print one for each passenger in your party). We ere directed to the "Reprint Set Sail Pass" to "simply print another SSP for me". Simply....ha. When we got to the line, despite a sign that CLEARLY stating "SET SAIL REPRINT", we wondered why on earth was this taking so darn long. Well, turns out that although the ship is mart, people are dumb. There were 5 families in front of us, They were not there to reprint a SSP...they were doing ALL he online check in...you know the process that takes you at home on your own computer about an hour or so? Well they were doing it. The RCL folks doing the check in kept saying that if people need to check in this is not the line for it, but THEY NEVER TURNED ANYONE AWAY!!!!! Instead, they told them that they shouldn't be in that line and proceeded to go through the arduous and pain staking process of doing the complete check in. GAWD! After an hour and a half of that, we finally saw an empty Check-in kiosk and asked if they would do a SSP reprint. They said yes and we were printed and done in 30 seconds. I swear to God some people are so dense.
Cabin was clean and modern. Didn't seem that much bigger than they said
