After reading many reviews lambasting Carnival for their shoddy em/de barkation procedures and abysmal tender offload in Cabo, we were a little concerned about what to expect. Perhaps we set our expectations really low but we were pleasantly surprised by the cruise and their procedures, in our experience most of the problems were caused by inconsiderate tourons.

Embarkation

Arrived at the port at 1:00 p.m. and was surprised to find the parking structure almost full. Waited in line for about 45 minutes and got checked in. We would have been onboard in 60 mts but we had to visit the ship doctor to get our son signed off and that tacked on another hour to our process. Regardless, we were were in our room by 3:00 p.m. Departure was delayed almost 90 minutes because of some CBP issue which put us into Cabo 30 minutes late (1:00 p.m. instead of 12:30 p.m.), they postponed departure that day by 30 minutes to make up for the delay

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8M

Cabin was decent, balcony was nice and spacious, came in really handy on the return days at sea, winds were 50+ nm but the balcony was perfectly calm. Only negative was that I did not account for the sound of the prop wash, it was rather loud, but we got used to it after the first few hours. It was curious to see the port wash significantly different than the starboard one. Another con was that there was a decent vibration at the back of the boat and we could feel it in the cabin.
