Junior suite was a great size, I would definitely do it again we could afford it

, the cruise director was hilarious and friendly, he set a great tone for the whole ship
Overview: although the ship is a little dated, the layout is great, it clean, and the managers and staff are excellent, if you are like me and put a premium on service, this ship should get your serious consideration, in my view good service can make up for facilities but facilities cannot make up for poor service (eg Allure of theThe room: we splurged on s junior suite, what a difference the extra space makes, we had a walk in closet, a bathtub, a sofa and club Chait with ottoman, we had a larger balcony with two lounge chairs and two regular chairs, the room was so pleasant that I found myself spending time in there in the afternoons when the pool deck was busy
The dining room: although food does not seem to be a strength of RCCL, the service was great, proper pacing of courses, friendly staff
The Diamond Lounge: although inconveniently located, the lounge was a great place to get away for a quiet drink, the concierge was very friendly and helpful, the new happy hour program, where you get three drinks from 5-8:30 at most bars in the ship is a great new perk
The facilities: the ship's decor is a little dated, but it was clean as a whistle, which makes all the difference, the hallways were wide, which is a nice change from the newer ships
The pool area: plenty of towels, plenty of places to sit, which was much appreciated given that it was Christmas week, the layout of the pool deck is spacious, much better than the new Norwegian ships that chop up the pool areas with bars, etc, there was new furniture in the solarium, upscale benches with beige cushions that gave it a garden feel
The spa/gym: a few complaints here, the gym area is accessible via a circular stairwell so if there are classes below, you can hear them, which kinda kills the spa feel above, the spa staff was pushing too many uncharges and products
The entertainment: overall, the quality was excellent, the ice show Strings was great, the ship singers and dancers were terrific, they put on an amazing Christmas show, the quality of the singers is the best I have seen in any ship (I've been in about 15).
