My husband and I were disappointed about our experience on Quantum.

The ship was packed because it was Christmas. Management should have prepared more knowing the number of passengers that were booked for this cruise. I spent hours booking restaurants and shows at home, yet we found ourselves constantly on line waiting for either a show or dinner even though we had reservations .

We had dinner at The Grande on New Year's Eve and the noise level was overwhelming. Our experience at Chic was disappointing because we had a terrible waiter. We felt like we were in a Chinese restaurant when we dined in Silk. The food was acceptable. At one of the shows a passenger remarked that food is always just ok on Royal. Since we eat in New York, Royal will never have a steak restaurant that can compare to Peter Lugar or Ben and Jack's! So of course my husband was disappointed in his steak at Chops. We did enjoy Coastal Kitchen which is available only to suite guests. The fees for the restaurants are high.If you are traveling with a family be prepared for a big bill as you book your reservations online.
