Traveled with children

My husband, myself and and three teenagers (ages 17-19) just returned from a fantastic cruise on the NCL Getaway. We picked this particular ship as there is much to do for kids their ages.

Ship:

Beautiful, easy to find your way around, and very clean. Embarkation was fast and easy. From the moment we stepped into the terminal until the time we disembarked, the service was excellent. I consider myself a harsh critic and was very pleased. The technology on the ship was impressive. There are touch screens near all the elevators where you can see what's going on plus the availability & menu at all of the restaurants. You can also see it on your TV. The electricity is all controlled by your room key card. When your card is in the activation port on the wall, there are lights on outside each cabin that lets the room steward know if you are in there. You can also press the do not disturb or make up the room buttons & lights as well. There are hand sanitizers a everywhere including staff spraying hands when returning to the ship.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

I consider myself a harsh critic and was very pleased with our cabin especially the large amount of storage. I always bring extra hangers but didn't need them! ***The only thing I'd suggest is a 3-in-1 outlet to have more options for charging items. My blow dryer from home didn't work but there was one in our room. My husband and I had a balcony stateroom and our kids were across the hall in an inside. The rooms are spacious with the best storage capacity I've ever had on a ship. The balcony was a bit smaller than we are used to plus there is a little tiny snack table. We missed having a bigger table as we like to eat breakfast on our balcony but it was a tight squeeze. There was complete privacy between balconies. Other than some kids running up and down the halls, we heard nothing else....soundproof!!
