Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

After all of the hype too many factors on this ship just didn't deliver the WoW. The ship design is beautiful and I do like the Esplanade over the Promenade on the other ships. Shows were good to great with Mamma Mia being fantastic. Not a fan of dynamic dining mainly due to lack of personal service you are used to in a mdr and non-changing menus. Due to food tastes several menu items are out and Silk is not an option for my family. Coupled with no desire to pay for upcharge restaurants makes for repeat meals even on an 8 night cruise. Way too many technical problems still on the ship a month after launch. Some of these affected shows and others ship services. You could clearly tell the staff were not liking some of the changes and tech problems. This was also billed as the Inaugural cruise for Quantum and it wasn't recognized as such by the ship staff or RCI other than a really cheap "certificate" saying we sailed the inaugural voyage. Big disappointment with this being my first, and now only, inaugural sailing.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin was comfortable, seemed more narrow and longer than similar balcony cabins on other class ships. TV wasn't working right and kept dropping signal but not due to loss of satellite connection as cabin next door didn't experience drops when I did. Extremely annoying whistling sound through connecting stateroom doors when one cabin opened the balcony door.
