We had a GRAND time on the Grand Princess! Just returned from spring break cruise out of Galveston, Texas. March 10 - 17

I am 41 and this was my first cruise. Traveled with husband (40) and sons and 13 other extended family members.

Embarkation: Arrived at Dolphin 81st private parking lot at 10:30. My sister had made a special trip to Galveston to make a reservation for 3 vehicles about 6 weeks before the cruise. When we arrived, the parking attendant told us she did not know anything about the reservations. My sister said it was the same woman she had made the reservation with! Bad first impression, but it worked out well. They had 17 people and a million pieces of luggage to the terminal by 10:45. Princess check in was well organized. Sister number 3 had problems with her cabin assignment and credit card (it was in her husband's name and Princess would not accept it without him being there.) Even with these problems, we were on the ship and in our rooms BEFORE noon!
