Kids clubs are great! Pity about the lack of Vegan menu options.

Sail Date: Dec 2014
Traveled with children

After my last cruise I had planned to go on a different ship (I thought my son and I had done it all). But the Dawn Princess had a good price for a sailing from my home port so we went on it again.

The kids clubs were great. There was a lot of entertainment for the kids and the staff ran things well. I wouldn't do a school holidays cruise as I think that the kids clubs would be over crowded (especially as my kids hate crowds), but for an off-season cruise it was all good. The kid center staff did a good job of getting everyone involved in activities and having fun. I'd definitely recommend them for other people with ASD kids.

The food was good for me and the kids but my wife had some problems with getting vegan food. Apparently the thing to do is to make an arrangement with the Maitre'd or head waiter the previous night to have a good vegan meal in the MDR. This wasn't clearly explained at first and it wasn't until the last night that we got it all worked out.

Cabin Review

Cabin J

Nice cabin, quiet and generally OK. But it became a drag going up and down the lifts to the kids club. Next time I'll try and get a cheap cabin on Riviera deck so we can walk to the buffet, pool, and kids club without using elevators.
