The ship is elegantly designed and beautiful. Reminds me more of a W or Kimpton Hotel than a ship in spots. It never felt crowded to me....well, except at the t-shirt sale on the last sea day on the Esplanade. The Windjammer is my favorite in the fleet as is the solarium. I found the entire ship easy to navigate. In my opinion Quantum is the "best looking" ship in the fleet.
Dynamic Dining - I'll go ahead and put on my flame retardant underwear and tell you that I loved it. It will be a win. I emphasize "will" because there were some obvious execution issues, likely related to getting used to things on the part of the staff and the guests and what felt like a lack of staffing in certain areas. I did not have any issues with reservations I'd made before boarding or making new ones after boarding. The Dynamic Dining concept was not developed out of thin air, it was developed based on years of guest feedback. I firmly believe it will improve. That said, the only restaurant where I experienced a real timing issue with it was American Icon. Silk was hands down my favorite of the comp restaurants. Believe me, I did not go hungry this cruise. Probably the best meals I've had on Royal Caribbean. Wonderland may have been the best I've had at sea, and I've dined in Disney's Remy.
Nightlife - I did not notice any real lack of things to do after 10pm as evidenced by our continually being up and entertained until usually 1am or later. The band in Boleros was my favorite Latin band on any RCL ship that I've sailed on.
Overall, I found our D1 balcony stateroom to be functionally designed with fantastic storage. I was well pleased that power outlets are more abundant than the typical ship, and the addition of one near the bed is especially useful if you use your phone as an alarm clock like I do. The bathrooms are the biggest improvement in my book, especially the showers. Yes, it creaked here and there, but not an unexpected amount given the sea conditions.
