Background: My husband and I have been cruising since 1981. We have been on many ships (20+) but are platinum on Princess. We wanted to sail out of New Orleans which Princess does not offer. We prefer to cruise because we like to dance, preferably salsa but we also took three years of ballroom lessons.

So, we stayed at the Hilton next to the dock and it was a great location. We went to Mulate's two nights which is across the street. They have a live band every night. We danced Cajun and ate great sea food. We arranged to leave our car in their garage for the same $16 a day fee the port charges.
