We sailed on the Majesty from 13th to 29th December. This is my 6th cruise and second on the Majesty. Embarkation wasn't great as we arrived by mini bus at dock close to MSC ship, not The Majesty at a different berth. Driver offloaded cases and we were in our own. Could see the ship some distance away so got cases and made our way. Fine for us but a couple had had wheelchair assistance to minibus and another gentleman was breathless. Arrived to gangway and of course hadn't checked in, so a member of crew radioed and were allowed on board. That was only negative to a great cruise. As before we had a deck 4 outside plus cabin midship. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. And no noise at all. Kept well by stewards. Couple of days towels a bit dingy but obviously clean. Nice pool towels provided too.
No problems getting a drink as plenty staff. Who got to know your order. We drank in lounge during shows, The Royal Observatory, and the small bar outside main dining room, and on deck. No problem waiting on drinks in those bars.
The only observation we made regarding the waiters is that unusually for Thomsons noone introduced themselves or had the same chat in the restaurants eg the Spirit larry and Mon made a point of remembering our names and always were so cheerful and entertaining. Only Igor (who came round ringing his bell selling ice creams and made us laugh) was the only member of staff who introduced himself. We couldn't fault any of them for efficiency or service. Though the friendly crew are one of the aspecs of cruising withThomson we have loved.
Nice cabin. midship - quiet with no noise - good poweful shower. handy for lifts.
