Having done a similar cruise last year on the braemar and had a really lovely time, I decided to book a similar one which also took in the Cape Verde Islands.
This turned out to be a mistake, largely because of a vile sewage stench which pervaded my superior suite cabin on and off throughout most of the cruise and which was never resolved. On the next to the last night, the sewage smell was replaced by fuel fumes which were so strong that I could taste them and had to stay out of my cabin for several hours until they cleared. Add to this disappointment with my cabin in comparison to the one I had last year, quite a poor standard of entertainment (except for the show team who were consistently good) and a general feeling of cost cutting.
I paid £40 for 24 hours of wifi which I never got chance to use up because it was rarely working or was up and down so often it was so frustrating you just gave up.

Superior Suite
Having cruised last year in cabin 7031 and been delighted with it, I was disappointed to find that 7027, although the same superior suite category isn't anything like as nice. A weird L shape with a part wall dividing the bed area from the sitting area made the cabin seem very dark and less than spacious compared to 7031. The furnishings were a bit shabby and the duvets were so dirty that they smelled and I had to ask for them to be replaced. The balcony was large but again, an odd shape. There was only one plug socket which didn't require me to scrabble on hands and knees to use it and once this was occupied by a plug in air freshener to help mask the recurring sewage smells which I was told were coming in through the air conditioning system, I had no easily accessible socket. A disappointing and frustrating experience. Don't book this cabin.
