Before this year, we had never been on a cruise. Our family LOVES all things Disney, so it did not take much twisting of our arms to try a Disney Cruise. We were absolutely blown away by the hospitality and class that their cruises offer. Disney has a great reputation for going all out and grand customer service, and they did not disappoint!

We did Disney all the way! When we landed at Orlando International Airport, we boarded the Magical Express, which took us directly to our Disney Resort and we did Magic Kingdom for the day. Monday morning, we were told to be at the lobby of our resort at 10:45 and the Magical Express would transfer us to the ship. They gave us as nice pamphlet with information on what to take with us on our carry-on on the ship, as our luggage would not be at our cabin door until we had been on the ship for a few hours and they got it sorted. We packed swimsuits and sunscreen and flip flops in that bag since the pools would be open the second our feet hit the deck on the cruise ship.

There was a bit of mix up at the resort trying to get on the Magical Express. They had too many people going and not enough buses. We had to wait an extra 15-20 minutes for a different bus coming from a different resort to accommodate us all. It was chaos, but no one seemed to mind, we were ready for our cruise! Disney Resorts are great about having movies/activities for the kids in the lobby. Our daughter, who is 3, was more than fine! Once we boarded the Magical Express, we headed for Port Canaveral, about an hour drive. They played a few little snippets of cartoons and then an informational video about the cruise and reminders and facts about the ship itself. By the time we got to the port, we went through security. We walked to the front of the line to check in with our passports. There were MORE than enough cast members checking you in, we didn't even have to wait in a line! Goofy was in the lobby greeting people. We then went through the hallway that led you to the ship, they took a few pics and then we were on the ship within ten minutes. A team of cast members meets you at the door and welcomes you. We went straight to our room, however didn't get to head to the pool. It was pouring down rain and about 55 degrees, we were following a storm out. We dropped our bag off, and headed out to eat lunch, WHICH WAS GRAND! Anything and everything you could think of to eat-- seafood, hamburgers, pizza, lamb chops, chicken, steak, so so good!

Cabin Review

Cabin 6A

We loved our room. The beds were very comfortable. For a family, it really helped that the shower/bath tub and sink was in a separate room than the toilet. Made it a lot easier in the mornings and before dinner while we were all trying to get ready at the same time. The rooms are tight, no doubt, but you can make do! There is plenty of storage space under the bed. We put 3 full size suitcase under our beds with no problem. We loved having a balcony. We loved to sit on the balcony and read or watch as was leave the port. Worth upgrading to! We were a little worried with how our daughter would do with the balcony. She is 3 but she still likes to climb. There is plexiglass covering the railing so no way she could climb it.One thing I would highly recommend is BRING A FAN! It was so noisy. You could hear people running up and down the halls at all hours of the night. We like a fan on anyways for the noise when we sleep and it was rough without one. Luckily, I had a "fan noise" app on my phone but wasn't nearly as great as the real thing.
