Cabin: Large Balcony

This was a trip my wife and I planned with her mother and father, my aunt and uncle, and my best friend. We are all 45+ in age. We had two large balcony rooms and two interior cabins on deck 11. I was very pleased with the trip except for a few minor issues. All of us had cruised prior except my aunt and uncle and everyone agreed they would cruise Norwegian again. I was very pleased with the ship overall. When we first arrived with had AC issues in 2 of the four rooms but they were resolved quickly. We had a broken refrigerator in another and it was replaced quickly. The 4th was missing a coffee making which was brought quickly but with no coffee or condiments. It took awhile to get those items. Other than those issues we were all very pleased with our rooms. The large balconies were fantastic for the price point.

The food overall was good but I do believe that the free dining food quality has declined quite a bit. Breakfast and lunch buffets were always good and seemed to be comparable to what we have had on other ships. The free dining option were very hit and miss as well as the service. We had two very mediocre meals in The Manhattan Room. We also had dinner at Moderno, Teppanyaki, and at the Cirque Dreams show all of which were excellent. The Blue Man Group show was superb and we also enjoyed the Legends in Concert. Everyone in our group agreed the ship appeared to still be in fantastic shape and we had to look very hard to see wear and tear others have commented on. The only common complaint from our group about the ship was the layout and flow. It did seem to be more difficult to navigate around the ship than previous cruises. The embarkation/disembarkation process was smooth and quick. We enjoyed an all day excursion in Ocho Rios and walked the town in Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

Cabin Review

Large Balcony

Cabin B6

This was our first balcony room and we loved it. The size of the balcony was great, the room size was great, and the location was great with zero noise issues. For the price point it was a bargain. The only complaint is of course the bathroom. I didn't mind the layout but the sink drove me nuts trying to shave. My wife did not like the bathroom layout at all. My in-laws had the same room further forward and they also loved it.
