I just came today from my holiday cruise on Carnival Valor. I have cruised before with Carnival and I just keep on having the faith that this time it will be different, but I continue to have unplesant surprises. Thou they strive for service I feel that there is some situations with the employess especially with the ones that service on Rosies restaurant, they seem to have a lay down hands they seem not to be happy..but anyway regarding cleanliness I have some preocupation..I continuosly found some residue of food on my forks( including the Washington dinning)..the plastic glases at Rosie's (the clean ones) were constantly with juice residue or with some type of loose debris. My stateroom was a handicap one (which I did not ask for) and the bathroom tiles had black mold and the bathroom always had a smelly aroma compared to a sewer. I really don't understand the layout of these handicap rooms either ..the bed only provides one side for one person not two to get on and out of the bed. On my arrival I had some Lysol and desinfectant towelletes ..preocupied of course of any viruses around..I notice in the bathroom just above the toilet that the handrail was full of dust!! Meaning that it has not seen a cleaning cloth for a while. THESE room attendants NEED to have some type of supervision from there superiors and must have to LEARN how important there job is...How important cleaning is part of having healthy guest and for there own safety too!!! Those carpets seem that they don't see a good cleaning either..whats going on with this brand???

The smelly sewer was around the jacuzzi too!!

Toward late night the air conditioners seem to be shut down because the rooms get quite unpleasant in temperature. We had some family traveling with us and to my surprise there was a shoe left in the closet from a previous guest...meaning that they DO NOT clean the closets. They too had the air conditioner issue. On my way back and waiting with other clients for our transfers we engage in a conversation about the service of this vessel and this lady told me there was a hair dryer left in her closet..I immediately said it may belong to the cruise and she said no because the cruise hair dryer had a special cord which is true ..and that this hair dryer was left in the gust closet..it was pink and it was a Revlon brand!!! Bingo !! another closet not cleaned..so this means they only care for changing the bed sheets. To my surprise on the 4th night they had put fresh linen in my nightstand not to be used during my stay but to have on hand for the next round of guest..as well as the pool towels were hidden on the other side of our nightstand.
