This was our first cruise, and I did lots of research into cruise lines / ships before deciding onon the Celebrity Reflection. The Eastern Caribbean was more a result of price, than other factors, and we love St. Thomas, and knew we would enjoy a day of snorkeling from there! I read extensively on Cruise Critic to help me plan for the unknown. Overall, despite our personal preferences and the high price of our cruise, we enjoyed a relaxing week and now know what we will look for in our next cruise.

The good- We were very pleasantly surprised that despite the 3,000 plus passengers on this ship, there was virtually never any lines or waiting. Check in was relatively quick, though as another reviewer noted their system of bringing people from front of main line to make new line at each station doesn't work; we, too, got stuck behind someone with issues and a new employee, and at least 15 groups behind us got checked in while we stood at Counter #26 waiting. Lines for restaurants, with or with out reservations, never took more than 5 minutes.

Though the pool area was busy, there were always lounges, whether we sought sun or shade! We did wait at times for drinks, but those were the only lines we encountered. Getting on and off ship at ports- again, quick and easy! Our cabin, veranda on Deck 8 was comfortable, clean, and our attendants were efficient, though we would consider upgrading to suite next time, depending on the price. I was excited that within an hour of getting into the cabin we were unpacked with things things stowed neatly above bed, in the drawers, and hanging, though few more hangers would have helped. I used over door shoe holder on outside of bathroom door, and found it to help immensely for all the little things we needed. Read more
