I booked with Glory Tours. It was wonderful. Went to see a gorgeous view from Cherry Tree Hill, visited the Morgan Lewis Windmill, passed by Catlewash, wished to have stayed longer at Bathsheba (been here before and probably my favourite place in Caribbean), stopped at St. John’s Church then finished my tour at Carlisle Bay. On the tour were two couples and myself. After Corey, our guide/driver, got me and another couple settled at the beach, he drove the other couple back to the ship. I stayed at the beach about two hours then Corey got me and drove me back to my ship. The couple who stayed on the beach at a swim with the turtles tour at 2 pm.

Barbados

I hired Stanis Taxi Service with Michael as my guide/driver. It might have been a little pricier for me but it was an enjoyable 3.5 hours. Had a gorgeous view of Marigot Bay before we headed to this cute little town. Then I visited a Rhythm Rum distiller but I opted out for a rum tour (have seen a few distilleries already) but did the taste testing (US$4.00). I’m sorry I didn’t buy a bottle of Javalatte (cappuccino tasting rum). Back some 30 years ago, I stayed in what is now known at the St. Lucian by Rex Resort. I didn’t recognize the area as it has obviously changed but I do recognized the gorgeous beach with a beautiful view of hills surrounding it. The resort is located in Rodney Bay.

St. Lucia

I’ve been here before a few times. I thought I’d just hang around St. John’s until I saw AJ Tours. For US$25.00 hopped on to this open air jeep for a 2.5 hours tour with a view of Nelson’s Dockyard, passed by Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour. We stopped at Darwood Beach. It was all right.Since I didn’t bring my tablet, I found a bookstore not far from the cruise ship to use the Internet. After I wondered through Redcliffe Quay for a short time. As I headed back toward the ship, I saw this bar/restaurant called Cheers and had a cold local beer.

Antigua

Awesome day with Jo Junie Tours. Our driver was Oscar (the Grouch) but he wasn’t grouchy! It was a full day tour including drinks (water, pop, beer, rum punch) for US$40.00. We went to Orient Bikini Beach (further down from the au natural beach), Marigot (capital of the French side), and Maho Beach to watch the planes landing. We lucked out as we saw both 747s of KLM and Air France plus other planes land. Bonus: we watched KLM take off! I highly recommend this tour.

St. Maarten

I debated whether to take the $16.00 shuttle return to Christiansted. A couple at my dinner table did. They said it was all right, they were packed as sardines going but it was fine coming back. There’s a beach about less than 10 minute walk from the ship I went for a bit, then headed to Fort Frederick (US$3.00) to see inside this historical old fort which was interesting. After I walked around town a bit, plenty flea market stalls to buy stuff but instead I was looking for a place for a cold beer and found Pier 69, located inside a small shopping “mall”. I’d rather have ocean view while sipping the beer but I don’t think there was much else around and didn’t feel much like looking.

St. Croix

I loved my cabin. It was on Deck 2. At least when I boarded the ship after a day out in port, I didn't need to go far to my cabin. One flight up and I was there.

We were to meet at the Lobby Bar then go to lunch but no one showed up (bartender mentioned a few people were here but left 20 minutes ago).Entertainment
• I’m not much for the “main shows” as I find them the same thing most of the time (not to take away the talents of those who put on the show) so I don’t go every night.
