There is a all inclusive resort that sells day passes in walking distance from the port. It is called El Cid. We did this and you can sit by the beach and a waiter brings you food and drinks all day. There is also great snorkling there, an hour free is included. There is a lot to see in the water! So many fish it is like an aquarium. This is not booked thru carnival.

Cozumel

We took a walk around the city and while we felt safe it was very dirty. The ocean water is grey/brown. Do not plan to swim here. There is a lot of shopping. It is neat to see how they live there but it is a third world country and it very poor and sad.

Belize City

There is a free place to swim right near the ship, in walking distance. You can ride the chairs to it also but no need to waste the money. Carnival sells a excursion for this but the only thing you get is reserved chairs closer to the water. We found chairs with no problem at all and didn't spend a dime. We did rent a locker to make sure our money and phones were safe. Lockers are $10 and you get $5 back.

Roatan

This city is very busy. Be careful crossing the roads. Very safe and secure. Free wifi at several places. Lots of shopping. We saw a huge Manta ray by the tender boats and the workers said they never see those around there anymore.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Our room was perfect for us. The lifeboats are right at floor level so they do not affect the view at all.

This was our family of four's second cruise.It was a wonderful vacation for our family of four.
