My husband and I are in our 40's. We have taken over 14 cruises with Carnvial and Royal Caribbean. We tend to be very laid back cruisers that enjoy relaxing, beaches, and the casino. I tend to do lots of reserch on the cruise we are going to take, including reading all the reviews on cruise critic. I always tend to think any bad reviews are because people are too picky. I have to say that this last cruise on Carnival Pride December 7th, had to be close to one of the worse we have every taken. I had read multiple reviews that were not very good, but again thought these people were too picky. It still beat being at work, but has made us decide to only take Royal Caribbean or another cruise line.

Embarkation- Have been out of Tampa several times and never had any problems. This time we got an email on the way to the port that embarkation delayed due to fog. Did appreciate the notice, but it was a mess up until 4:00pm trying to board the ship. The line wrapped around the buildings and did not move for hours. We finally gave up and ate a late lunch at a great pizza parlor right by the port. Did finally get on about 4:15. Had boat drill right after and then did not set sail until after 7pm. Not very fun sailing away in the dark. Not something Carnival can control, but the lines and choas could have been better handled.

Cabin-Not to be deterred from a great week, we went to unpack after the boat drill and found our cabin, aft balcony cabin to be very hot. We notified the front desk and our cabin steward, but took three different trips and three days in a row to finally get it comfortable in the room. They were trying, justing frustrating to try and sleep in a very hot room. We loved the balcony, except for the dirty glass and railing. They did notify us that our balcony was to be cleaned in a port midweek, but I couldn't tell that was ever done. Did enjoy being able to see the ocean and feel the breeze.
