From the time i stepped on board the DIAMOND PRINCESS,until i stepped off-sadly ,in Sydney I Absolutely Enjoyed myself.I had never cruised before, and had seen Australia from every angle North,South ,East and West, by Road, Rail, Aircraft. But this was my first cruise. And as a Single traveller ,on my own .I didnt want to pay for a cabin just for myself. So i contacted a company; they match you up with fellow travellers who want to do the same cruise. And i was very lucky to have had the pleasure of sharing my cabin with another Seasoned Traveller who was aged 85 .y.o. And we got on very well with each other. From the time we made our bookings we kept in contact with each other and we met 2 weeks before our Cruise.

Although i am not a dancer or a swimmer, i enjoyed everything else that was provided on the cruise-Especially the Music of the 2 bands on board.NEW DEAL and SOUL WAVE.. Plus i went to all of the shows every night in the Princess Theatre. But it was up to me what i chose to do each day- either be invovled in everything - or sit on the Promenade Deck and rest, sleep, talk to fellow passengers, sleep, rest ,relax. or watch the passing of other ships in the Ocean.

I had such a great time that i have paid a deposit to do another cruise - sometime in 2015.With company of course. The Crew, and Staff were just wonderful.

Cabin Review

Cabin E

Our cabin although it was OBSTRUCTED OCEANVIEW, did not block out much at all.We could still see land, lights, lightning and the ports and where we were. You could say that we were able to see 85% of the scenery.
