Our family had a splendid vacation on the Norwegian Breakaway the week of December 14, 2014 for the most part this was due to the great weather we had. What we grasp from the crew was that the previous weeks of unsettling waters lead to a not so enjoyable cruise. The sunrise and sunset views from our balcony paid for the trip in itself.

Having been on different cruise lines, this was our first experience with NCL and Freestyle dining. Below are some of our thoughts, comments and tips hopefully will help with your future Breakaway cruise.

Check-in process was a slow go, waiting in long lines to be expedited – with over 4,000 people that all need to register and get their picture taken. You do the math – just wishing there was a buffet at the end of that line.
