This was my first Carnival cruise. I have sailed several other cruise lines and had always considered Carnival to be very low-end. We booked this cruise at the last minute because of the very attractive price. Also, a 5-day cruise fit our schedule and we could drive to Port Canaveral.

The cruise was much better than I expected! I liked the Sunshine, but as others have commented, it was kind of challenging to get around! Our balcony cabin was very well laid out and the bed was comfortable. I was surprised that the food was very good! I don't know if the ship was booked to capacity, but the crowds were not bad. The staff was courteous and professional and the cruise director, Jaime, was a bundle of energy. She was great! We were concerned about being overrun by teenagers and kids, but it was not too bad. Entertainment on the ship was very well done.

We did not enjoy Nassau that much but Grand Turk was fun. Beautiful clean beaches right at the port and a really fun Marguertaville with a huge pool and swim-up bar.

Nice cabin in a great location. Was right below the Lido deck, but noise was not really problem.
