We a wonderful, romantic anniversary trip on the Star. We have cruised w NCL many times, up to platinum level and beyond, but this experience was exceptional, in a good way. We booked a larger suite and took full advantage of their concierge service. Our embarkation and disimbarkation were facilitated and a delightful contrast to current airport experience. It's nice to exhale, put down the carry on and be greeted by the conceirge personnel who ask a few questions and make a few excellent suggestions and the trip immediately takes a turn for the better. We are younger and mobile, but I noticed the NCL personnel taking their time with limited mobility passengers throughout the trip. Even when it was difficult.

Our room was correct on our arrival, my wife and I have some allergies and needed some accomidations which were in place before we walked in the room. Our steward and butler introduced themselves and made refreshments immediately available. We like to dress for dinner and had a chance to dine at all the speciality restaurants, surprisingly the Bistro wasn't the best, mainly because it has become more popular and actually what an authenic bistro is rather than French fine dining. We had an awkward moment there on our anniversary night, so our butler set up a private dinner for two in our suite. He even folded the jewelry I planned to give my wife into her napkin and took a video. Best moment of many trips! We really loved it.

We have been in the port cities many times and really enjoyed Porto Vallarta and the harbor in Cabo. My wife is sensitive to motion so the opportunity to see the Baji sea cliffs as we cruised into the harbor meant a lot to her. Read more
