My spouse and I spent the last eight nights aboard the Quantum of the Seas, sailing from Cape Liberty, NJ down to Port Canaveral (basically Orlando, FL), Nassau in the Bahamas, and Cococay. I've been on nearly twenty cruises and my wife on about ten, so these are all ports we've been to more than once. The real allure of this cruise was checking out the brand new Quantum class of ships to see if they are as "WOW" of an experience as RCI claims.

The big picture is that Quantum is quite a marvelous ship that does a lot of things very right. But it's not perfect. There were a number of things that RCI could do a lot better, and the software that forms the backbone of the Quantum experience felt a like it came out of beta a bit too soon. Having spent eight nights aboard the ship, we did get an opportunity to check out nearly all of the restaurants, shows, and many of the activities onboard, which I'm happy to share my impressions of below.
